In the wake of the spectacular results achieved through the sales of the silver and ceramic ring specially created by Bulgari for fundraising in support of Save the Children's international initiatives, Claudio Tesauro, President of Save the Children Italy, thus commented about the partnership:
"Thanks to Bulgari, to date, over 500,000 among the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and marginalized children are given an opportunity. Children living in nomadic communities in South Sudan, children in displaced camps in Democratic Republic of Congo, children fled from violence of armed groups in Colombia, marginalized ethnic minorities in India or children born in unbearable urban poverty in Albania and Mexico.
Some went to school for the first time; some have a real school desk or a roof over their heads during their classes; many have better prepared teachers and have learnt life-saving rules on health and personal hygiene. Most of them are aware of their rights, no matter their age, gender, ethnic group or economic status.
Small and big tangible changes in the lives of 500,000 children that each single ring sold made possible.
Today some hope has entered in the life of these children. Bulgari’s commitment and generosity of people have contributed to the most precious of all projects."
